The Rundown: In the wake of war, another one might be brewing for the fledgling New Republic.

Pirates have been seizing ships and supplies throughout a region of space and Luke Skywalker leads a group of X-Wings to investigate. When they discover the pirates are using advanced weaponry and a converted Imperial Star Destroyer to launch their attacks, Luke follows a pirate ship to the planet’s surface to get answers. At the same time, Leia finds her diplomatic outreach to a former Republic world difficult when that world’s envoy showcases the weaknesses of the Republic.
On a planet in the Outer Rim, a bounty hunter finds himself being outnumbered by a group of mercenaries in Imperial Stormtrooper armor and gets a welcome rescue from Han Solo. As the two fight their way back to the Falcon, the bounty hunter warns Han of a growing threat as Leia receives dark news regarding her peace summit.
The Story: Segura crafts some interesting political intrigue throughout this issue. All of the characters are dealing with some new and compelling threats and there is the hint that they might all be connected which is a great narrative decision. I like seeing the aftermath of the rebellion and how the characters deal with the fragile peace that they have fought for. I would be interested in seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Noto delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. From the expressive characters to the detailed and engaging battles and environments, I loved looking at every page and panel of this issue.
